You say glossy black, is it granite? Did you get they at Home depot? Are they just free floating, or glued down?
One of the nicest Satanoperca Leucosticta I've seen, tons of red! Satanoperca is the best genus on the planet!

No not granite, i believe they are ceramic. Home Depot charges an arm and a leg for tiles.. I got them a tile shop. I laid them flat and siliconed the gaps down..and if the gaps were too large we cut really thin cuts of tiles and siliconed them in.

Thanks.. I really like the one that pop's up on google when you google them. I hope mine turns out like that one..
I am still pretty bummed that I lost the entire shoal even though it was over a year ago.

I am sorry to hear you lost them
you should be stoked to have the one you do though. I have seen that pic on google many times of the bright red one and it's just beautiful. 
I keep a couple of pretty rare non-spotted species of Satanoperca (red lips and maps) and your looks nicer than any one of mine lol

Beautiful indeed.. Thats the one that made me want to keep geo's to begin with..
Those maps can be just as nice.
