Getting my first boat

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You will love that boat. Motor sounds good and boat looks good. Really looks like someone took care of it. Not sure about all the responses regarding $$$. Like anything else mechanical if you maintain it and do not abuse it, it will serve you well. Good luck

I tore into it yesterday. I found 2 problems. The electric choke wire needs to be replaced and it had 1 bad vacuum line. Other than that this thing is in AWESOME shape. It's now ready to go on the water.

enjoy it in health! and since you're at it, go grab some Channas!

I took it out about a week ago and it ran like crap. It was awesome in the drive way, bad in the water. I tore it apart and found that the floats in the carbs were sticking and the stock fuel pump had a crack because he-man super mechanic torqued the hell out of it. I rebuilt the carbs (kit was already in the boat) and got an inline electric fuel pump (by-passed the stock one). Now she runs like a champ. Had it out on the water for several hours and this thing is going to be fun!! The best part of it is that it doesn't burn insane amounts of gas:D.

Sounds good man! Now that you got it running good and it appears that the river is finally starting to lower a bit, when are you going fishing?! hehe

Is it doable without a trolling motor?
