if new world cichlids give it some time, they can be pout puppies, I am not a fan of frozen blood worms, break em to pellets, least that is IMHO, Good luck!

never mind, Africans, no experience with them, again Good luck.

I had two bass eating pellets, I added two more. It took about a week and one of the caught on, the other wouldn't break. About once a month I'd break down and but feeders just do the guy could eat. About seven months later he still wouldn't eat and was literally a quarter the size of the others. I put him in a tank by himself and still no luck, feeders only. Finally I stuck a piece of shrimp on a fishing line and dangled it in front of him and he took it, after that I could drop in shrimp or fish and he'd take it. This went on for a few weeks, I then put him in a tank with other bass his size and it only took two days and he's killing pellets. I was about to give up on the guy and sell him but it worked out. Glad I waited, good luck it can take a lot of patience. Over all it took about eight months.

Keep doing what you are doing, a week is nothing when it comes to starving them to eat. If they are starting to come to the side of the tank when you feed, keep going. You may want to try to feed them some tilapia or other frozen fish as they may take that before they take the pellets.
