Getting niger catfish!

what's the difference between Pseudodoras niger and Oxydoras Niger? and are they both sand sifters that are tankmate friendly? thanks!

there the same fish theres no diffrence just a diffrent saying im sure of it as well being called the rip saw catfish aswell!

Like Oscar & Redtail Cat said, they're the same fish. Pseudodoras is the old genus, Oxydoras is the new "correct" genus. Ripsaw Cat and Turushuki are also synonyms.

Yours looks considerably lighter in color than mine, but that could be the camera.

Niger Cats are extremely peaceful, they can coexist with almost any tankmate.

he's very nice looking. however, im not digging how light he is. i love nigers cause their black cats. is it just the camera or is he really that light??

Its the same species just changed the genus name.
