anybody with obscuras that eat frozen foods? or pellets? how'd you get them to eat? tried starving for a few days, not having any luck.. and also.. how aggressive are these fish? mine lives with a bronze corydora and does not harm it.. fish that fit in his mouth are gone in seconds though.. do they get aggressive at a certain size? coz i read that they are aggressive towards tankmates.. hes about 5"

Hi mate, firstly, get some pic's of the guy please, hehe

ok my obscura came to me eating prawn's but after a while it took hilraki red cichlid pellet's, now he will take them everytime, as will one of my pleuro, the other pleuro will only take prawn's, and thats after some time,

Hi,try frozen foods its the only way to see if they eat it,I would nt keep a channa with a corydora, sooner or later it will become a meal.

hehe missed that bit, oh yes won't be long, my obscura munched four of my whiteskirt tetra's they was 4inchs and he was 5inchs

so..how'd you do it? train him to eat pellets i mean.. mine won't even sniff at the pellets or raw shrimp.. 5 days is the longest i could go before cracking and giving some live food.. he just doesnt seem to look at the pellets or shrimp as food.. any suggestions?

yeah i'm trying to give him raw shrimp and fish fillets, doesnt even give them second look.. well my obscuras tank was once a tetra tank with neons, serpaes etc. i caught most of em, but its hard to catch those little buggers in a planted tank without messin the plants, so some of them were left there to be food for my obscura.. he ate all of em but i don't know why he doesn't touch this little cory...

Mine just took them in the end, i stopped feeding shrimp for a while and one and the obscura took pellet's but the other one is obstanate, yes mine are in a tank together, no aggression as of yet, hopefully there won't be, the two pleuro's have had a set two once, nothing bad..

well here are some crappy pics, sorry phone cam

well i just bought my micropeltes home and as soon as they were in the tank they literally fought between themselves from the shrimp i cut up and threw in. then i tried to give them some hikari cichlid gold later on but no luck. they looked at it without any understanding in their eyes lol
