I find that quite surprising... because I feed those guys fresh cut up shrimp... can't figure out why he won't eat.... maybe you need to get more:)

haha maybe sir! aren't they aggressive towards each other? but hey, mine doesnt even touch a corydora... i guess i'll try starving for a little longer..

well i just bought my micropeltes home and as soon as they were in the tank they literally fought between themselves from the shrimp i cut up and threw in. then i tried to give them some hikari cichlid gold later on but no luck. they looked at it without any understanding in their eyes lol
yeah i had micros before, those things eat anything!

what happened to them? do you still have them?

they died a long time ago..

oh no! why, what happened? some sort of infection or something?

Try getting your channas to learn to jump out of the water to snatch LIVE feeder fish/shrimp out of your hand and start switching to feeding dead versions in the same manner, wiggling the corpses to make them look alive.

thanks for the advice!

got him feeding on shrimp now, just needed a little more starvation to get him to crack.. i also used a stick to wiggle some shrimp fillets in his face then he took it.. wonder if he'll take pellets next... hmm..

try dangling it just under the water's suface, wait for the stealth mode, pull it a little above water, wiggle more then flick it toward's the snakehead, work's like a treat with the obscura i have, he slam's that chopped prawn and pellet's straight down, bam

A friend told me that the younger they are when trying new foods, the better.
