You need to check out basic aquarium husbandry. Can your dad fill you in on some basic aquarium skills? As it seems you are unfamiliar with the basics of an aquarium.

yes this is not the best place to get basic beginner type info. Go over to fishlore.com and look in the beginners forum, lots of good info also be sure to read up on the nitrogen cycle and how to properly cycle a tank (you don't just toss fish in from the get go).
i know about cycling already and the tank had my dad fishes in it for a long time and hes letting me keep the filter and stuff so it should be good and he said the tank been cycled for a long time so he said i should just acclimate the fish when i get them
you should get a couple clown plecos but you'll need wood because they call for wood in they're diet
Plecos love zucchini, spirulina, and sinking algae pellets... at least several times a week.. some plecos require driftwood... they use it for roughage.. The plecos that require roughage are the ones with the elongated bodies.. the water PH should be 6.5-to 7.5, soft to medium, 72-86 degrees.
