I'm getting ready to purchase from Jeff Rapps for the first time and was wondering about the quality of fish received from him. If you could share some expeiences I would greatly appreciate it. His stock list is absolutely incredible and he seems like a great guy so I was wondering if anyone could share their experience getting fish from Jeff.

One of the best I've dealt with. His fish were all in great shape and the size posted.

That's what I figured I just wanted confirmation. Thanks for your input, it's greatly appreciated.

agreed . . . I was happy with the fish I bought, but also thought it was a good overall experience, from purchase to delivery

Never ordered from him, I prefer ken davis bc he is much more affordable. Rapps does have an outstanding reputation though.

I really don't feel like Jeff's prices are THAT expensive and his fish are a bit larger. Then again shipping is only $20 overnight for me since I'm in NY so I don't mind paying a little extra that people feel he charges.

What are you buying from him if you don't mind sharing?

Edit: if you order from Ken check his stock list frequently, he gets rare stuff in limited quantities that sells out like hot cakes once in awhile (i.e. xanthic jags, really kicking myself for missing out on these)

I have 26 cichlids at my house right now and they're all from Jeff. You never see nice festivums, severums, uaru, etc. here locally. I mail order everything. Most of the fish I have from him are wild-caught with the exception of a couple F1s. I've always asked questions before purchasing to make sure he has exactly what I'm looking for, and he's always nice enough to take the time to answer them. He's my go-to person for any South American fish I'm looking for.
