lol really? i'm trying to figure out if you're serious or not.
i did get a good laugh reading this though haha
pardon my ignorance in this area, but how would that work - i'm being serious and inquisitive now :)

+1 and don't laugh. I'm 6' 250 and can do more than 10 cart wheels. Yeah they kick your ass and boost your balance. BTW I was 6' 300 a while back, no cart wheels, somersaults or shoulder roles then. I went down to 250 and plateaued, all after having just quite smoking.

The biggest thing I can recommend is find a routine that YOU enjoy. No matter how great a routine you've got if you get bored with it you will rapidly slide down hill.

One thing I've seen many lifter pooch screw is flexibility. I added yoga to my routine and now go to sambo more often each week because the hurting stops by the next day not 3 days later. The other is water restriction, great for short term just before a show but a bad idea if done for extended periods of time. You look great but feel like crap.

As an office desk jockey myself I'd recommend (assuming your boss and neighborhood will permit it) walking around the building/block 3 or more times per day.

good calls.
i was actually going to take yoga or pilates, because my flexibility is crap and i feel that i tend to injure myself mostly from like joint related or something minor that could really have been prevented with better warm up routines or just more flexibility in my body. dig at these two things if you want, but there's a reason all the chicks who do pilates have awesome bodies - because that stuff tones the crap out of you. i tried it once as a joke with a friend and at that time i was jogging, taking spin classes and i figured i was in reasonable shape given i did a decent amount of cardio. let me tell you - 15 minutes into the class and i couldn't keep up with those girls. i felt embarrassed and completely pooped.
definitely motivation to go back though :D :D :D

I had the same experince with my first yoga class, kicked my butt was an understatement. Also how can you check out all those spandex clad ladies without looking like perve?

go there with a lady friend and don't be like that guy sitting in the back of the class in the corner - they know what that's all about
just go somewhere closer to the front - show some interest. go talk to the instructor i.e. make yourself legitimate and not the perv in the corner...

i got p90x... i did some of the ab stuff before. and i agree - that stuff kicks your butt. my abs were killing me for 3 days after the first time i did it.
you're right... i need to JUST do it.

ben - where do you work out, bud?

all over, I go to 24 hour fitness, fitness 19, my local gym/ymca, my house. and i also do some martial arts stuff with friends. I do alot.
But i'm down to do whatever man.
But I agree you wanna get ripped, get on a diet plan and get p90x going, you will have a six pack and looking good in a few months.
