Getting upset

Now I am really angry at this dumb fish, just 3 days ago he was stuck to the inlet on my rio600 power head, luckly for him no damage was done. So yesterday I put the cover back onto it thinking this would help, WRONG.

This made things way worse, this time when he got stuck it broke his back and tore him up. It did this, because the cover extends out about a .25 from the inlet. so no when his dumb self sucked up there half his body was inside this thing putting pressure on his back.

Some times fish can be so dumb.

So anyone have any ideas how I can fix this problem.

can u cover the inlet with a sponge or something? sorry about the fish!

What is that used for? A skimmer? I think the CPR BakPak made a surface skimmer box just for the powerhead so it wouldn't suck up fish and anything else floating around.

Yes I removed this from a proten skimmer, I came home today and another dump fish is hanging out next to it. I have been tring to figure out how to put a sponge on it. I think i will end up covering it with a fish net, until I can buy a new power head. Just had to pay a plumber overtime on a sat to come unclog tree roots from my drain. All around bad day.

I had problems with feeders getting behind the inlet for my FX5 so I have to put a little mesh met around the inlet so they couldn't get close. and get sucked in. I know how you feel fish are dumb sometimes. I have got fish unstuck just to watch them swim right back where they were stuck and get stuck again.
