gf found a turt

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He's doing fine, Hes still in my 10gallon untill We finish construction in my room. Than he will be moved to a 29gallon ( displayrack) Along with a couple other tanks ( about 20 ).

Just make sure to keep his water EXTREMELY clean, and give him a varied diet.
Baby turtles especially are prone to eye infections and their shell can get soft if their water quality isn't perfect. Some also need the right light to keep their shell healthy, though I'm not sure if that's true of all.
I used to have a baby painted turtle and he died after he got an eye infection that we couldn't get rid of even with help from a veterinary specialist. Personally I wouldn't keep baby turtles out of the wild, because of what happened to him, but as long he's in very clean water and well fed he should do fine.
I was a kid at the time and didn't realize that he should either have a good filter or a full water change every day in the absence of one until the vet told me. They create quite a mess, so water will get dirty quick. You should probably feed him in a separate container too, that helps.
