I'm sooooo frustrated right now. I have a family member who will give me a FREE 130gal tank and I can't seem to get any one to help me pick it up. What's that crap!?! I keep bugging people and a couple have said they would help but no one ever actually does. More and more time keeps going by and I just know that one of these days they are going to give it to someone else :cry:
 
Doesn't that suck? For me it was rounding up somebody with a truck...
 
offer money, or the promise of booze. thats what always turns my family around.
 
Few options here...

1. Offer to compensate your friends
2. Look into moving companies in your area
3. Check out your local fish clubs as there are fish people who would understand and help - specially for a case of beer :D
 
I've even offered money. It just seems like when one person is willing to help another can't come for some reason or vise versa. I would look into the moving poeple but I'm wondering how much that will be. I don't have a lot of money right now. I'm sure I'll get it figured out some how. I'll be back to nagging everyone this weekend. Wish me luck!
 
I feel for you. I'm going through almost the same thing right now. No one to help me pick up the 125 I found on Craigslist. I had to email the lady tonight and tell her the deal is off, I tried hard but there is no way for me to get the tank. :(
 
I got my collaeges to help me get my 180Gl!
And boy were we surprised by how much it weighed!!!!!!!!!!
It was very hard to carry with 4 grown adults.
One collaegue hurt his back, me and one other cut our hands badly, we didn't fit into the elevator.
It was so much fun!
When i talk about getting my 10 foot tank, they all say they'll be sick then!
