I got my collaeges to help me get my 180Gl!
And boy were we surprised by how much it weighed!!!!!!!!!!
It was very hard to carry with 4 grown adults.
One collaegue hurt his back, me and one other cut our hands badly, we didn't fit into the elevator.
It was so much fun!
When i talk about getting my 10 foot tank, they all say they'll be sick then!
LOL 4 adults for a 180???? me and one other guy could easily move a glass 240g :)

i picked up my 125 acrylic tank with stand two months ago on craigslist ($130).Rent a truck from u haul. ($100) .With my nephew helped (free).Well acrylic not as heavy as glass . Just the stand is heavy. So i 've got pretty lucky.....

Dude.. Know the feeling. I got my 250 gallons tank that I need to get out of my ex-girlfriend's place. Been working all the time... and everyone who said they will help can't do it when you need them. !30 gallons is alot easier to carry. All you need is one person to help you with.

two guys to carry a 240 gallons tank? This I gotta see. All I know that it take about 5 guys to carry 240 gallons tank!

Im a truck owner. I get a lot of people that wan't help moving or picking up stuff... Trust me when I say nagging does not help.
While I agree waiting on people is one of my biggest pet peeves in this situation since you don't have the equipment you will either have to rent it yourself or wait for a favor to come in. And never underestimate the cost of a favor. I was moving a womans mental health office with my truck once when a biker flew in front of the truck..... I barely recovered the skid and none of here stuff was damaged but anyways I digress... after about a half days devotion between me and my old roommate she offered us 100 dollars to share (Rolls eyes)

Well, just need one helper and a means to move a 130 :D

Well, my husband would help but he has 4 herneated discs in his back already so thats not a good idea and I'm a girl. I'm kind of a tom boy and I would like to say I'm strong for a girl but I'm not sure just me and one other person could move it. I don't want to risk dropping it. That would be my luck I finally get someone to help and drop the thing.

too bad we didn't live closer together my dad has a toyota tundra and we'd help you :D

Thanks! Thats so sweet of you to offer! I'm sure I'll get it figured out eventually and if not than I guess it wasn't ment to be. I just needed to vent when I initially wrote this. I had asked everyone I knew and was starting to get frustrated.

My husband was in the army and we haven't been around for the last 6 years so we don't know too many people around here any more. Which is why I think we are having such a problem finding someone to help. He said he would attempt to bribe his cousin today. So hopfully this works out. I'm not giving up!

Yay! As a birthday present my husband and cousin are going to pick it up today!!! I can't wait!!!

LMAO you guys must be some serious lightweights if it takes 5 guys to move a 240  im not a big guy, but im not skin n bones either :) a 240g glass with two normal built guys should be no problem (my buddies and I have done it several times), unless you look like this guy:
