Ghost knife info needed

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The peacock eels will be ok if they are big enough not to get eaten but I think rope fish will be better, they have cool personalities IMO but they are escape artists so you need a tight lid. My sister had a peacock eel and it just hid with its head sticking out of the sand lol

Will 3 be OK in my tank though? I know they like company.

They'll be fine but your tank is sounding a bit overstocked for a 120 if that whole list is in there. You should overdo filtration.

Will they all be OK space wise? I don't want the fish cramped. I'm OK with spending money on another canister or even a sump if I knew how to do that.

When bgk grows up it will be heavily overstocked with all fishes you have beside it.. If you want that it reaches full potential you will need to upgrade to atleast 200g - footprint is more important then height so wider it is,better will be :) and keep in mind - even it gets big, it is still predatory fish :)

they will all be cramped when fully grown, imo

Even though the rope fish and pleco will be on the bottom, the cichlids in the middle and the rainbows near the top? The tanks 48 in long and 24 in wide and however tall it is.

I think most people will tell you that you will be fine stock wise but i think you will be a bit crowded, i like the look of under-stocked tanks though.

I have the same tank, and im going to be buying a BGK tomorrow coincidentally :p

I have never kept eels so I am not sure about them...

I keep my BGK with a green terror and an RTGG and several bichirs. There is one driftwood cave in the tank and that belongs to the BGK. if any other fish comes near the opening he jumps out and pecks at them and goes back in and hides so everyone else keeps their distance. The only other time he comes out of the cave is during feeding and when the lights are out.

I think a BGK would be ok as long as he has somewhere he can hide.
