So this here is my 150g with both a black ghost and my brown ghost. You can see how much they have both grown over the months. I must also add that they have only been a real "pair" for two weeks now. The brown ghost is starting to really come out and the black ghost is enjoying having him. I was told this could not be done. But with them each having 75g as well as the fact that the black ghost was in this take for at leAst a month before I tried introducing the brown again, the opposite introduction proved near fatal for my black ghost. I have yet to see anywhere on the forum or YouTube this pair successfully matched. Believe me I tried searching! This match has been a dream of mine from day one. Good luck with pairing, if at first you don't succeed!
I don't...When I said pair I meant in the same tank,I have had previous posts of them. since I was unsuccessful at keeping them together I only now see them as a pair..btw:I don't want to refer to them as it..lol

Rather well, like I said the first time I try to introduce it was when I got the black ghost knife fish.I put him into the 55 gallon with the brown ghost. Brown knife fish attacked him ruthlessly. I separated them at the time and after a few months I purchased 150 gallon tank and put my black ghost in there. I was skeptical about introducing the brown one ...but I read as long as they each have 55 gallons and the brown knife is introduced into the black ghosts home it is possible. They are both swimming together right now ,they were also eating nicely together .I just fed them some blood worms. During the day they both have their own area & this is the first night that I've seen them actually swimming together .haven't seen them fight at all to date. I think ( what you're seeing )just may be that they bump into things plus there's other fish in there . The rainbow shark has always pestered the black ghost.plus my black ghost my fish knows the tank pretty well and the brown has only been in there for about 1 & half weeks now. I can tell you this ...if they felt uncomfortable I would've known it is soon as I put the brown one in. I think it just takes some time for knife fish in general to start coming out of their cave and scouting out the areas. Especially brown ghost .they are so much more timid then the black ghost is . But these two are my babies if I thought for any moment that they could harm one another I'd have the brown ghost back in the 55 in no time. So is a good tip as well to have the home of a black ghost nice fish or a brown nice fish to go into the new tank with them makes acclamation easier
Nice to hear. Yea one of my fav fish and been waiting a while to get a brown ghost knife. Waiting patiently for some prices to come down. Been debating to get a ghost knife as of recent. Thanks for the update.

Patience is the name of the game across the board with this hobby, as I'm sure you know. I have a lot of different types of aquatic species in the 150 gallon from African cichlids to a marble gobe... To axolotl's too... It's takena long time and a lot of patience and organization to create a stress-free and widely diverse aquarium. Now I'm just looking for a new fish to add to control my bossy Blood parrot from thinking he runs the show. He even chases away the African cichlids and my convict! But I guess if the toughest bossiest fish you have in the tank can't bite that's a good thing!
