Keep in mind they are nocturnal so they will hunt at night and you will not see much of the ghost in the day uless you are lookig for him. You MUST have a hidding place that is big enough to completely fit in or else he will stress looking for one.
I have seen someone split a PVC pipe and put it up against the side on the tanbk so he could see his gost knife.
I have a 10" ghost in a 55 gallon and I setup dim lights so my son and i can watch him hunt. he is rather peaceful except for when my Bichir is after the same prey they but heads once in a while.

If I get it, I'd probably put in a glass or acrylic tube in the tank so he could hide but be seen.
I am mainly concerned that the SAL, who is also electric, will get in his way and that the ray (not sure what species) will bother it too much.

Cool... I tried a glass jar first however my lights were to bright for him so I switched it for a log with a large cutout under it.
i haven't tried beefheart with any of my fish. Maybe i should try it everyone on the site seems to like it. i'm sure thr Black ghost knife would like it.shekes said:
I have an 8" Jardini & an 8" Ghost, together for about 8 mos. now and never had a problem , My Ghost stays out most of the day (which I believe is rare), His favorite food next to worms is Hakari Chiclid Staple (floating Type)
we have had one for almost a year now. It's my fav fish. first he was kept with parrots, which he did well holding his territory, then we moved him with gourami's, he does well with them also. we feed him plankton. it's an interesting fish, i posted some pics just a while ago...
bgk is a very nice fish.we have ours in a 4feet tank with other fish small and big and we have never had any probs at all.at the end of the day its what you feed him that will make the bgk what he is.
plenty of hideing spots is a must but ours dose spend some time out and about but he loves his tube that we have put in for him.
when we feed him it is good to watch him swim about like mad picking up all the catfish pellits.

I really want to. I am just not sure if it would be save for him in this 130g.
The aro is close to 1.5' long, the SAL almost 3' and the ray (I am not sure what species) is a size of a dinner plate and very active. For now there are no hiding places in the tank. The SAL usually hangs between the three airlines in the corner. The aro circles on top, and the ray "rules" the tank.
I didn't see the knife yet. It is upposed to be over 1'.
If I put something for it to hide the SAL will try to squeze in. The the ray is very annoyinng and the aro might just bite it.
These are my fears. If I need a shrink, please tell me!
