Ghost Shrimp and Snails

Maybe a 1/2 to 3/4 inch. Is that big? I'll try to get pics for you next time I am over there. Next Thurs.

No that's not very large. I'm pretty sure you have ghost shrimp if they haven't grown much. Macros would probably be a couple inches within the same time frame.

What is the pH of the water? Perhaps the water is too acidic for the snails.

^^ Hmm...I didn't think of that. I'll have her get a test for it, if she doesn't already. I gave her some test strips I had before I got one of those chemistry sets to test my water. Thanks for the tip!

Ok. Got pics. Thanks for all the advice, guys! We really appreciate it. I tested the water this morning with API 5-in-1 test strips and the Ph looks like it was low...like around 7.5-ish according to the color on the strip. So too acidic, right? It says it should be around 8.5?

We discovered a surviving snail this morning. And there were three shrimp, the two largest I got pics of. The smaller one was maybe half the size of these guys and more opaque. Forgive the horrible pics, it is hard to get a photo of something that's near invisible!! Holy cow!!
