market shrimp are good, i feed my fish all the time

I think he needed something live. If I'm not mistaken, these are his Rapps fish that he still hasn't posted pics of yet!:grinno:

i have indeed posted pics of all of them. . . the paratalapia is actually out acting normal now and my glypothorax is still alive after almost being a feeder! but the rapps pbass eats market shrimp shrimp. the mono i had before only eats live and hasnt eaten in a while so i had to get him fed. thanks for all the input!

wow ghost shrimps are so cheap over there. in socal its 3 for a dollar + tax. so its about 30-40 cents a piece.

My bichirs and ropefish love hunting ghost shrimp. Whole tank goes into a frenzy when one gets rooted out.

If one has big puffers I'd use a couple pairs of electric blue crayfish to breed and raise the brood for feeders. It is a better and healthier source of food.

Same for big Pbass, or other larger predatory fish. Can you tell I like to grow my own feeders? Gotta love the Convicts :D

thats insane. i get 100 shrimp for $8 at aquarium adventure over here

I use them for feeders for my cichlids so I'm pretty sure they are not harmful. Though I be careful since they can carry parasites too. Also you should save some too, so you can breed them (pretty easy to) for a extra source of food if you ever run out of feeders.

i just started ghost shrimp too so im on the same boat. testing to see how healthy they are and which fish like them. Ive put a few in a 5g seperatly to see how they do. i didnt mix the fish store water though just the actual shrimp.

i dont think their the most nutrition filled food, but they are great for what they are.

cheap little feeders that are extremely quick, and will make your fish work to catch them. helps to stimulate them quite a bit, do some thinking, and actually use their predatory instinct to hunt and stalk the shrimps.

ive fed ghosts to EVERY fish ive had over the last few years, and all have enjoyed them with no issue. stingrays, goldfish, pacu, ca/sa cichlids, and my flowerhorn.
