Okay so they weren't that color when I put them in. And they've been in that tank for weeks. Now all the sudden 2 of them are turning black and have orange on their little front claw like hands orange dots on their tails and orange on their antennae?

Like I said I haven't added anything new to the tank (Except a couple bunches of micro swords) in a month or so. Are they a different kind of shrimp? Why are they all the sudden changing color? Is it to blend in better? Sorry about the fuzziness of the pic had to wedge my hand between two tanks to even get that pic. And he's too unnoticeable for my camera to really pick him out. It thinks I want to focus on the plants. You can clearly see that it's not just the black gravel showing through. I noticed it when he was sitting on one of the white rocks in the tank.

i cant really help sry. i just cant make out anything clear enough in the pic

Without a better pic i cant tell you if its just food(feed them red food and you will see what i mean) or something else. sry.

Ah oka I'll get a better pic. And I feed green sinking frog pellets since they like them. And hey all eat the same thing in all my tanks with shrimp and only two in that tank are changing color.

hmm then it might be something else. Just hard to figure out without a clear pic to distinguish the dif parts of a ghost shrimp. They are quite easy to see into and the dif parts of the body so shouldnt be too hard to figure out when you can get a better pic

I would say its just the food ghost shrimp do have some color I have seen them have red on their tail and claws before

The color gets darker every Molt the little gold bands should start popping in a few months, I have one that is almost entirely green now with gold bands and one that is a bluish color
