Giant Danios

Will giant danios eat or eventually eat zebra danios or smallish guppies? I always love looking at the giant danios in the store, they're not tiny like a lot of fish and they school well.

I was thinking of adding a school of 6 to my 55....didn't really mind to much if the zebras or guppies got eaten.

Never kept giants but I think the worst they would do would be pick at the guppy's tailes. Which I guess can be pretty bad.

They will nip but will only eat fry sized fish I have owned quite a few Giant Danio's they are tough as nails I use them for cycling. Great fish fun to watch!!

i kept giant danios years ago and they were a pita. I was just a kid, but even then i hated them. they would honestly eat all the food at feeding time and just bully every other fish in the tank so they couldn't eat. theyre not going to eat zerba danios but i wouldn't call giant danios peaceful.

my giant danios have never been nippy (not saying it isn't possible) and their mouths aren't big enough to eat any fish bigger than a fry (not mcdonalds fry, baby fish=fry

i kept giant danios years ago and they were a pita. I was just a kid, but even then i hated them. they would honestly eat all the food at feeding time and just bully every other fish in the tank so they couldn't eat. theyre not going to eat zerba danios but i wouldn't call giant danios peaceful.

Hahaha that is exactly what they do they hog up all the food in my girlfriends tank.

They are some of the most entertaining fish. The zebra danios will be fine, the guppies may get nipped.

my giant danios were awesome energetic and entertaining. never had any nipping problems even when i had guppies with them. but not saying they wont.
