I know this is a really old thread but how did this work out for you guys. I want to start breeding them in hawaii for aquaculture. Anybody from asia know what these guys taste like (sorry mfk peta fans). I'm currently breeding golden tilapia but the cost of feed is ridiculous. My system is going to be an aquaponic one (all the aussies should know what that is) so any left over veggies would go right back to feeding these monsters. Also does anyone have experience breeding kissing gouramis. I heard these are a food fish too. Any hands on info is appreciated. Thanks.
