I had a good time reading this lol ;) I'm giving him to Corey W something.....

....my GG has killed on a couple of occasions.......plus motoros are $$$$$ more than GGs.....don't want to have more fish death on my shoulders.....he is an awesome fish tho...

Does anyone even know his breed if he is rare or not?......I don't see gouramis that color usually.....just the greys and the redtaileds.......

Hi Big pink, not quite sure what your asking here but i think its about Bruces Gouramy, the species is known as the redfin gouramy (Ospronemus laticlavius),these are slightly smaller than the common Ozzy, around 50cm full grown, what they do possess though is a much nastier disposition than the former.Theres always the odd redfin thats calm but in my experience they are few and far between.

if you love your leos why risk it

if their is any risk to my rays with a new fish i wont add it even if their is a chance my rays may not get nought food :D

Ummm..... ive always found them to be much mellower?

Hi Bruce,
Ozzies are a favourite of mine,my first big tank buster as a kid,it was about 18inches long living in a 5x2x2 with ordinary small community species,in fact my Hoplo cats bred under the supporting strap whilst this monster roamed the tank.I find its all about tank mates at the time, anything quick like tinfoils, silver dollars etc seem to be left alone where as big stuff like slow moving oscars,Vieja etc often get battered, trouble is Ozzies dont take prisoners if they have decided they dont like a particular fish its curtains!
Getting back to the debate of Redfin versus Standard, because these fish do have their individual characters its hard to say any one of them is going to turn out to be a killer(bit like people)however having kept too many of each species throughout my life i would say percentage wise the redfin has given me the most trouble,...glad youve got a peaceful one.

i currently have a 16"+ red tail gourami in with some rays.. never really nipped at anyone but gourami was rescued and somewhat shy... wouldnt suggest this combo with your everyday GG.. they can be VERY nasty
