At five foot it's not a bad start, remember max size is around the 2 foot mark sometimes bigger. Without knowing the other dimensions of the tank and filtration info i can't really say any more on the size.

When they are going through growth stages they put a ton of food away, good filtration is a must.
Maybe not now, but they will quickly double in size, ours was 3.5 inches when we got it and was growing at an inch to an inch and a half a month for the first six months or so

Impressive beast!

Our had an issue with killing everything when we first got it. It now lives happily with 2 moonlights and one pleco. About a month ago the pleco was found in a really bad state, fins ripped open quite badly, it lives underneath the internal filter and rarely comes out, it would seem that it did come out and the gg took offense. Treated the tank heavily and its now living happily under the filter again.

It all seems to depend on the fish, some are timid and playful and never bother with tanks mates other just don't accpet them. The aggressive ones seem to calm down a bit as they get bigger.

Hope that helps, thanks for the picture.

Thanks Yanbbrox :D

I will post more pix when he gets bigger haha. Oh yeah do you know if GG's could live with asian arrows? im thinking of selling all my other fish and just having the arrows and the GG's and just the sucking fish at the bottom.

I wouldn't trust any type of GG's with Asian Arrows unless they cost a dime a dozen there.

:iagree: Not that it can't be done with arrows(silvers), koji keeps arrows with his but I wouldn't trust my gg with a tetra neon let alone an asian, or anything else for that matter.

Master Tequila has an array of fish with his, and I'm sure he doesn't trust his either.

Our moonlight tank mates swim along side the gg and get along well, there again three of them did until I came home a month or so ago to find only two, half of the third was on the bottom. Only one mouth in the tank big enough to tear one in half.

Yeah and in the past I have talked about mine being almost puppy tame or just fighting amonst themselves only, until last vacation time - like 3 weeks ago someone ripped the head off the female Angel that the two males keep fighting over. So now the only fighting that goes on is between the RTGG's.

But I still have a handful of other fish in with them, and I notice just last night a battle mark on the right side of my Balsa Shark which could have only come from one of 4 mouths in the tank.

Mite have to dust off the old BB-Q a little sooner than I had excepted.

Mine, finished off three bala sharks almost twice as big as it within 36 hours of adding it to the tank, two the first night, one the next day.

Phobull,
Are we painting a good enough of a picture about compatibility;)
