i got some kind of fungus on my gg.he wont eat and has white fungus all over him.it already killed my blue channel cat.i've been treating him every day with antifungal med and water changes every other day.i hope he makes it.he's 22 inches.i've had him for 2 years and would be devestated.....any suggestions.....any one

What are you treating it with? If you can get hold of some primafix made by API use that. It's just about the best thing for fungal problems IMO.

How long have you been having these problems?
Other tank mates and they're condition?
Any recent new tank mates if so what?
Have you tested the new water your adding?

All will help us try to identify the problem

Keep us posted, hope it all works out good

A few Questions:

How long has the GG had this Fungus, when did you first notice it?
What are you treating with?, and why do you keep doing water changes during treatment (every other day)? What is the size of the Aquarium its in?
What temperature is the tank? And did you remember to remove all carbon and filter media resins?

Forgot about the carbon, I always take mine out and leave it out.

Hence your water chemisty issues:popcorn:. This is why people should have a hospital/quarantine tank, but this fish is 22 inches so I'm assumming it's being treated in its regular tank.

I had to resisit a 18" GG for £15 from work today.

Went to Pier today and couldn't resist a baby L27, a 18'' GG is a different story!

It's not often you go to work and not come home with any fish!

I thought your canister was full of bio balls, only?

No not full, just about 2 handfuls or blue Bio-balls, why do you ask?

Because you where telling me off for removing the carbon in my filters and you said your canisters were full of bio balls only? Somewhere
