yes..i have been looking at a 225 at my lfs.i agree he seems a little cramped.been worried about that for awhile now.need more room/$..

lou....i've heard about holes in the head if you don't clean/vaccume their tanks,do u know anything about this or know n e 1 who has??????

HITH is a condition that normally effects fish such as discus and oscars, I've not heard of a gourami giant or otherwise being affected by it but I've been wrong before. There are many theories about what causes it but the main way too avoid it IMO is keeping stress levels down by providing good clean water in suitable tanks, with a good diet. I also keep discus and never had any cases in many years. I have also had many different various non giant gouramis in the past again without this condition.

Don't take my word for gospel, I've never had it or heard of anyone having it before that's all, what's your water changing schedule and filter setup? 100g right?

Sorry for the confusion, I was more interested in amounts of water changed and what sort of filtration or powerhead in this case you were running?
