giant RTC

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ya i saw it it was so cool,

I watched that show too, great stuff. Even though that particular cat choked on the child, it really makes you wonder how big these cat can really get. I don't know if there will even be one caught that will be bigger than the Mekong or Jau's as each ecosystem is different .

awww mehn! THAT'S THE ---- right there! i wanna see the vid too!!!!!! can sum1 post it on utube? wahaha! May this serve as a warning to those who are keeping RTCs and to those who are planning to keep one! i just noticed (i don't mean to generalize) that many are getting RTC's due to the "fad" or the so called "cool"-ness that they grow big and rapidly. but sad to say, many are incapable of housing, much more, caring for these animals! i think i myself is guilty of this.... :( well, he can always have the old pool.... jk! pooooooond!

I wish I saw this! Im going more along the line that the kid drowned and then the rtc thought hey, free meal.

As for the "fad" or "coolness" I have been seeing alot. not just on here either. The lfs's here never delt with big cats before and now over the last few months they have been everywhere and so many of them. I cant stand to see them. It breaks my heart knowing that someone will get it not knowing the size or care. There is one that I almost bought yesterday, he looked all beat up:( It was much easier going to a fish store and there not being that cute face looking at you!!! :irked: :(

I agree, They used to be available only certain times a year due to them being wild caught and the breeding patterns but now that they are being "farm" raised they are becoming very plentiful ...... and cheap. I too have a hard time not buying them :(
