Yesterday my Mahseer came in from my good friend Louis Snaza of the Waterfront SLC. He started out in colder water around 68 degrees and it’s been raised to 78. Anyone have any advice on what the best temp to keep these guys is at. I’m gonna list new experiences with this guy as we go along.

Sorry for bad pictures in advance as he doesn’t stay still very long at all. Beautiful fish, with yellow and blue hues coming in already! Can’t wait to see him mature and get huge.

What is the genus and species or at least where was it collected so we could have an idea of the ID?

The fish is from Wes wong in his recent import. It is Tor Putitora, Golden Himalayan Mahseer. My friend Louis Snaza received it about 2 months ago in his store. Sorry it was meant to be included it in here in previous thread,

He’s taking to Bugbites very fondly. He hits the water with some actual ferocity. Pounds water nice and hard. Amazing fish. As an addict I wish I got more… that’s my only regret right now. Might have to talk to Wes😂.
