In volumetric terms I'd say 263 (UK) / 316 (US) gallons minimum.
In measurements I'd say 84" Long x 36" Wide x 24" High.
This represents the tank I'll be installing in the summer for my micropeltes as their long term home. I would add I think these are the minimum figures.
They are one of the fastest growing fish around, my largest one has grown from 7" to 11" in 8 weeks, but their growth is not quite as linear as say a RTC. Apparently the growth slows after 24", well in terms of length. At that size girth and putting on weight as opposed to primarily length becomes apparent. So you might get away with 30" width for a while, but it would be a costly exercise to pay for a 30" wide then a final 36" wide tank later for a lifetime tank. With diligent husbandry they will EASILY reach 36", so anything less than that width is clearly not enough.... I would not be concerned about 30" water depth, even the 6 foot length is a subjective call and opinion shall vary, but the width is the issue.

Yep that would be ok but you don’t need the depth to much it also makes maintenance harder. I my self would go for 7ftx3ftx20" but the bigger the better. But as Mentzer said if you can go for a 84" Long x 36" Wide x 24" that would be cool the last 6ft I had made I went for 20” depth trying to put your hand in a tank with a hungry aggressive red is not fun.
