Giant Snakehead update

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He looks great!

Comparing between juvenile and adult stages, I would say that they look best (just my personal preference) when very young --- just at the stage when can see two distinct black horizontal bands and between these, a golden band (yes, golden!). Unfortunately, this golden band lasts only a short while --- soon as it grows larger, it turns yellow. It would be awesome if an adult can maintain that appearance, but none could.

Seriously fast growers !! I have always wanted a giant snakehead. Very very beautiful .

Yes, they are awesome snakeheads (Channa micropeltes / Giant Snakehead) when it comes to growth rate and size; perhaps only Channa marulius (Bullseye Snakehead / Great Snakehead) can match them in these areas.

Hi, Nice sh. My advise is to stop the powerhead flow, sh prefers calm water, this way the colours will stand out. Mine kept in a comm tank. No life feeders if you want them with tankmates.

Hello guys, thanks a lot for the comments and advise, about the powerhead; its power is not much, its just there for extra oxygen and i don't think it effects the fish much, he actually likes to swim in front of it :), but will definitely try to remove it for colours

Awesome example, :)

The Giant..!!! haha it's just so cool dude :D
