Giant Squid Fishing Off So Cal Coast

You beat me to it Alyssa. The special I saw they were fishing in the Gulf of Calafornia. The ones on there were a more red but you never know, squids are masters of color change.

lol...oh and I just read the article and it says humboldt right in there...if only I had read it sooner. suspicions confirmed

I saw something on tv about this! so cool..but aren't they humboldt squid and not giant squid.

The generic or common name is either. If you want to get technical, just like tropical fish, you would have to use their scientific/latin name.

OH my gosh! I love squids! (odd, I know...but whatever)
So, do you just catch them and eat them?
Is there any way to keep them as pets? Probably not the giant variety, that would be insane, but like those little ones?
