Thanks for the feedback. I modified CHompers noodle idea: since I don't have a pool, I looked around for something similiar. I ended up using some extra tent support rods. They are fiberglass and flexible, but rigid enough that I can still sweep the net covered jig around when needed. It was still a total pain and I'm not sure if I'm going to do this again. Maybe next time I'll use a combination of letting things run their course with this idea if things get worse instead of clearing up on their own.
