i am about to recive a new GG next week but im a little worried. this guy is so large that the owner has hired a special van from a koi supplier as he cant find a poly box large enough to fit the fish and hole the weight of the water. the fish wont go in to a trash can (dustbin) either.... ive yet to see it but he reckons its at 29 inchs not including the tail!!!!! but wait the story gets even odder... i dont really have a tank big enough to keep it in but the owner has it in a 4ft tank!!!!!! :screwy: i have a 6x2x2 for it that will be better though. poor thing will struggle to turn around too. if things go well i may have afriend build me a 10x3x3 for it

whats the largest you guys have seen? im thinking its got to be an aquarium sized specimen

also what are your thoughts on keeping a pair together? bear in mind this fish has always lived alone for the last 15 yrs

Maybe you should go and have a look at it first.

I agree with Steve_89, and take some pics then post some on here. I would love to see it.

PICS PLEASE!?!?

Wow, your getting this monster without even seeing it first???

hes doing it for the right cause tho... moveing it fro a 4 footer to a 6 footer

Wow, that's huge. Even if you fit him in your tank, it would be hard for him to turn. And he said, the size doesn't include the tail. Wow. Really wow. Well good luck.

dont worry guys as soon as i see it pics will go up on this thread. im dead keen to have a look. i have an empty tank so i can take it on if only to get it out of that 4ft tank. i may even be able to rehome it somewhere better. the owner saw my GG and said that it was double the size!! i didnt even know they got so big. he feeds it hot dogs too...... wasnt sure that this was ok but i assume its one fat bastid
