good luck finding one for a "good price" unless you consider 2k a good price

You can always come out to AZ and handcatch one yourself. ;)

And provided you don't get nailed by a rattler, attacked by said gilas, or ambushed by the Game and Fish wardens...you may survive long enough for the gila to bite you and the venom kill you quick.

Good luck! ;)

Don't forget the scorpions.

dont think its worth the time an effort buddy having an animal that is poisenious unless u are trained in handling them an have a permit to keep HOTS(IE CobraS) an there quiet ugly too.. just my two cents

i was fishin at the california aqueduct at night (couldnt see two feet in front of me, i was walking to my chair where my flash light was and heard (felt) a crunch from under my foot, my shoe slipped a bit so i figuered i stepped on something, like a frog. i got my light and checked, expecting a frog to use as bait, but it was a baby gila monster about 7 inches long. i was soo pissed at my self, if i would have had my light i coulda caught it and hurrassed it until i got a bite.

i see them for 1200

Dude the LFS I work for the owner used to have one for a couple of years and said they took it out and held it all the time one of his best rep. pets even the girls loved him... guy came in from Az and he had an old west museum he sold the damn thing for $50 he had never planned on selling him and I don't think he really knew how much he was worth soooo pissed when I heard that....
