if you catch gill curl early (by paying attention to your damn fish before it gets severe /just saying ) it can be reversed by correcting water parameters, in other words water changes.

that's true. performing the operation is your last option. just watch if it starts curling at the hard part of the gill.

my cousin's aro has the problem... he's stoopid... I told to keep up with h20 changes and test his water once a month... this guy didn't do a water change and when he did, he did over 50% water change... man, I should have never got him that aro... It's a rare aro too... but o'well, it aint my fish and my money...
