Gill Question?

what exactly is gill curl ? can someone post pics?

if its minor gill curling (slightly folded) you dont need surgery to fix it

if you correct the water parameters it will right itself

but if it curls over alot or completely and stays that way for awhile i would go ahead with the surgery

if you realise, the gold aro in that link...the gill curl aint that bad...but why want to risk leaving it open to infection?why dont just cut it off and put some medication?it is not to hard after all..if you have the tools that is.

i hate to crash the thread... but i have a Parrot that i just noticed recently has gotten gill curl.. are the reasons why, the same as an arowana? all my other fish are fine..
