well there's a few things at play, one is it was a past owner's fish and they didn't want to sell it. second small giraffe catfish have only been on their order lists twice this year so replacing it would be hard. (yea i got one of those giraffes they ordered for $20, has doubled in size easy in a few months about 6in now. the first one's were priced at $50.)
i still don't think they want to sell it but it's one of those priced at an offer they can't refuse type fish.
btw i believe the most they ever asked for the tsnxrtc was $100.

BTW koop, AA had one for the longest time. it was smaller than the ones we picked up, and looked a lot less healthy. they had it listed for $125 for several months, and it wasnt growing at all.
last time i was in there it wasn't, so they either killed it, or someone got ripped off! i wanted to tell them i picked up the same fish down the road for $40, but i figured it would be a waste of breath
they still had one of them a few weeks ago, just moved it to one of their bottom tanks. terrible pattern though, it looked nearly solid black.
the pricing seems to vary a lot, and for those recomending to have them look online that really doesn't mean a thing because one can get anything online for cheaper. i'll agree $350 is too high, but since it's a hard fish for them to get and the little ones sell quick i can't really argue against their price
