i have just come into buying a 22o gallon tank, which happens to include a 18in. giraffe catfish, it is elready eating shrimp pellets and is a gorgeous fish, but any help with what to feed, and the temperment of these fish/tankmates would be greatly appreciated, as i have never kept one before. thank you

They are easy to feed, I have three small ones (6"). Any sinking food is accepted: shrimp pellets, algae wafers, chopped mussels or shrimp, etc.

They seem to get along with most fish, however they do not seem to like being with others of their own kind, I had to seperate one that was getting picked on and now the two remaining ones are bothering each other and I may have to move another one. In contrast I have to baby Oxydoras niger that sleep together during the day.

other giraffe owners, im feedn him nightcrawlers 2night, since they're out. about how many can a cat this size handle. he's already downed 3

As many as he wants. What he doesn't get the Lima will snag. Fatten that bad boy up....

idk it all depends on the flowerhorn to be perfectly honest. Some of them can be absolute tank terrors. Most end up in tanks all by themselves. I had to give mine away because of tank aggression, and my gf has hers in completely seperate tank by itself.

wont be long till that flowerhorn is comfortable enough to let you know how things are gonna go for ya.
