Giraffe Catfish

I believe your monster "giraffe" catfish can grow to the 30" size or more in the wild! That means a large tank and a large mess, as they tend to be realitively peaceful but are the vacuum cleaners of the african catfish! Feeding will not be a problem!

I would buy them as they aren't often seen years ago they only cost me 20 bucks but now 40 seems average. they are great fish they get about 2 feet but do grow slow compared to more predatory ie. red tail, asian red tail, 7 pimelodiea type cats. a great buy mine moved about without bothering smaller tank members.

Not just in the wild a friend of mine kept a giraffe cat in a 6ft aquarium and it grew to around the 3ft mark, it was huge! i have a pic somewere ill see if i can find it.
