Giraffe Catfish?

Hi, I was just hoping to get some information form you guys having a Giraffe Catfish "Auchenoglanis occidentalis" (see pic below). I am thinking about picking one of these up but don't know anything about them. Searched the internet for info but there aint too much info about this rather rare(?) catfish. So lets just spread the information all of the place

yeah they are a great catfish I want to get some but I have never seen them for sale.

Seen 1 at the local LFS,but was only 3 inches and cost 100 bucks,to rich for my blood!!!

I have two and they seem very peaceful to the other fish. When they were smaller(3")they hid all day only feeding at night.One did bully the other alot and quickly outgrew it by so much I had to separate them.Now the larger (12") remains unhidden and will gladly feed anytime

I had one for a few months but had to get rid of him. Believe it or not he was bullying the crap out of my 2 RTC's. Mine was actually very aggressive towards any fish of the same size, smaller and larger were left alone

He was actually very good at keeping the bottom clean too. I almost miss him.

Mine was really peacefull. They have a lot of personality and are like mini vacuum cleaners. They will let you know when they are hungry.

They have some at a fishstore 217miles from where I live. I actually think of driving there and buy 2 Giraffe catfish. Do you have any idears how I can go there and transport the fish home it is about 3 hours drive and I don't now if they can remain without air and the water will be pretty bad.
If you have any idears I gladly listen

I've always wanted a giraffe catfish and can get a 3incher for £20. But i think it would outgrow my 6x2x2.

Yea, but one good thing with the Giraffe is that they don't have a wide mouth as the RTC so it won't eat other tankmates except for the very small ones. And it doesn't get half as big as a RTC ( not from what I've heard ).
