ah right ...sorry just didn't get it. I've seen it on american programs but didn't actually think people still have them.

can you eat bass?
 
nooooooooo large mouth tastes like crap all the ones ive had did at least and it was fresh (i know i caught them) but they were from warm water lagoons and lakes.

What is in the lower food chain will influence the taste of the fish. Fish from a different location will likely taste better. Decades ago, LMB were overfished here because they were a table favorite.
 
As is the case with most fish, younger individuals taste better as their flesh is more tender and usually has a sweeter taste. They're also healthier as bioaccumulation hasn't lead to toxin levels as high as those in larger fish.
 
Very nice fish. Those are really big for MA. My biggest down here in NJ has been 6lbs, but I'm still young (23). I hope to eventually catch one 8lbs + we'll see. This past years best was a 5lb 2 oz taken at night on my kayak on a jitterbug. I also lost a 7+ the year before on a black and blue jig.... made me want to throw up.
 
Thanks,They are big for Massachusetts.I know a place where i catch at least one bass over five pounds every time and i always let them go.
 
ya i have yet to have a girlfriend that emjoys fishing
even my sister hooked me in the eyelid when i was teaching her good thing there was a barb on the hook :cry:
