I have just switched my tank from gravell to sand and changing background to pure black background next week. right now there is nothing in my tank besides water sand and fish. I haven't placed anything back in it yet. I have ton's of fake plants .. log's .. castle .. rocks .. clay pot. all that jazz but want to see some pictures to give me ideas how to make it amazing looking. anyone with sand setup post pics of u tank for help. thanks :)

Throw out your castle and clay pot for sure... get some driftwood!

I like you're first set up .. by castle i meant something similar to what you have to the thing on the very left in you're first tank. and it's my smaller oscars main chill place and hiding spot from my bigger oscar when things aren't good lol. other then that i have everything taken out .. just waiting for the water to clear up now then decide. i was also thinking about driftwood

personally I love natural set-ups w/ Oscars I'de do some driftwood and maybe attach some Java ferns to it. They won't eat the plants and they are tough. rubber bands or fishing line work good to attach the ferns. Or you can often buy them preattached but I always find better wood and plants by buying seperately. also cheaper.

so everyone likes the driftwood? i set it up a way i somewhat like now. went creative with rocks etc. pretty nice. i like it .. but still debating the drift wood idea. making it work in there and a lil re arranging. when my water finishs clearing up ill post some pics and get opiinions on upsides and downsides

do driftwood and boulders. then put the plants in little nooks amongst them. that will make a nice natural looking layout.

yeah i was thinking something similar to that. i took jip rock .. all long and skinny. sanded down all edges and made them into a a wide version of one of those stone things built in the fields .. i forget what they are called. and leaned a couple up against it etc .. my bigger oscar made it his home pretty quickly. he never had one before so thats goo. i plan to leave that there. i put the clay pot back in but might remove it. will take pics soon and get further ideas
