Follow the Reaper and HateCrew Deathroll are their best cds. They kinda died after HCD. I did get the chance to meet Alexi Laiho when they were touring the US promoting HCD. Nice guy, he was totally smashed though. He kept hugging me.

BTW, that isn't the main stuff I listen to. But you know, its one thing to not enjoy music. It is another to completely ignore the talent that these guys have. Burzum, the first band I posted, is a one man band from Norway. He does everything, then dubs it together. He leaves the imperfections because he believes music itself is imperfect.

That was Burzum. It is a one person group led by Varg Vikernes. He completely changed black metal as it is known. Nobody had played like that before. This is not something you can listen to once and understand it. At all. If you try to, you will say exactly what you said, lol.

It is much, much, much deeper then that. The entire atmosphere of the music is mind blowing, layers upon layers. Besides the fact that he plays EVERYTHING. He did EVERYTHING in his basement, then dubbed it all together with a old crappy computer. (Which is why it sounds like it was recorded in a tin can)
