I would give to the NRA.... that way a can own a gun to protect me from pit bulls..... I should say it's to protect me from pit bulls that stupid owners have taken and turned into a dangerous animal..... they are the only animal I've had to shoot to protect a human life.

Why not take the guns away from the criminals and enfoce the laws on the books.

I have a friend from sweeden and they outlawed guns so I asked him if you don't have guns what do the criminals use? He said they use stolen military guns...... He said when they mug you or break into your home you better just let them do as they please....... whatever they please.

He does say that you can have a hunting rifle but it takes a pound of paper work.

You know that a majority of the people that abuse animals are minors..... where do you want to put them? can we build a jail in your back yard? You know if you make everything a felony after a while no one will be able to vote.

I just noticed that you are from NY... you are right you guys don't need anymore guns on the streets.... the crimnals hate the compition.

Don't you guys have some of the toughest gun laws and some of the highest rates of gun violence? Come to Indiana ..... we shoot back.... gives the bad guys something to think about. They estimate at least 50% of the people you pass on the street have a fire arm on them.... makes me feel safe.

People who fight dogs are not mostly minors! “Professional” fighters have over 6 dogs, have to have all kinds of medical equipment and drugs. The types of bets they got going are in ten thousand dollar a match range. Drug dealers and people like DMX is what you are looking at. And most of them get to walk because of ****ty laws, and most of them have a history of animal abuse over and over and over again with the law enforcement not being able to do much because of the light laws.

In Indiana people shoot back? Visit New York, they will beat your ass down with their bare hands and then shoot you with an AK47 just for fun. We got some neighborhoods where quite literally people shoot from buildings into cop cars for the hell of it. People here do shoot back, not only will they shoot you if you break into their house, they will shoot you right there in the middle of the street! HA!

We need to make prisons tougher and laws tougher rather then introduce more guns to people. If you know you will go to prison to get your ribs broken and get beaten over stealing someone’s wallet on the street, you’ll think twice about it.

I agree with you that the criminal career starts at a young age, any crime. I really do not know how would people go about preventing it but I would say it has to do more with improving family situation and education. And you are 100% right about laws not stopping criminals.

As far as New Yorkers go, I think that you are completely wrong here. The thing that amuses me is that people think that people get their wallets stolen in broad day light and people will walk by without anyone giving a crap. Or even asking someone to help you and people will just tell you to go **** yourself. All of that is very not true, and the people who live here know it. I think the only reason people think New Yorkers are rude is because whenever you go to a smaller state and you walk in the store you are right away greeted with “Hello, how are you?” and in New York you will not get small things like that but when it comes down to something serious everyone is always ready and willing to help. (By the way I was shocked by this whole “Hello” thing everywhere you turn deal, could not get used to it, I would just stand there looking at the person thinking to myself what the hell do they want ).

I think that we both are on the same page with the bad guys but I'll have to carry a gun for both of us...... takes too long for the police to show up.... the criminals bring thiers with them.

Hey would you explaine why you don't want to carry a gun. I hear what the media says but I really would like to understand why you don't want one.

I'm not tring to put you down....... I really am curious....... I have a friend that dosen't own a gun because he has a bad temper and is afraid he would shoot someone and I really respect that.

I carry because I feel like that if me or my family were cought in a hold up we could escape the situation....... I don't nesseceraly want to stop the hold up.... I would if I was shure I could do it without putting my family in danger. Could I pull the trigger... yes but I'm shure it would bother me to take a human life but if that was the only way then I would have to. I'm big enough to handle things if they don't have a gun but it seems like that most of the time it isn't the case.

Anyway, if I had money to piss away, I think I'd build low cost animal clinics and more shelters in my area.

Very few people around here "fix" their dogs and cats so the the 2 shelters we have are always full. The Humane Socieity was getting grief from the public about having to put down un-wanted dogs, well what the heck else are they going to do with them? The same people protesting about killing the dogs are the ones who won't get their animals spayed or neutered!

Pet population control around here is still drowning un-wanted kittens and shooting puppies. Heck, most folk won't even pay to have their sick or old dog put down, they just shoot it in the back yard. It is illegal to do this, of course, but the law isn't enforced. There is really no protection for animals here.

I once turned in a relative for beating his dog so badly it's insides ruptured and it's legs were busted ( a year old Rottie.) The dog was ****ting and puking blood and the vet put it down (I brought it to the vet, otherwise it would have died in the back yard of its owner's house.) NOTHING happened to the person that did this, oh wait, the Humane Society said he couldn't adopt a dog from them in the future (all his dogs are bought from breeders anyway.)

I would also fund monthly info-meetings at local schools on how to PROPERLY care for pets, every pet, from fish to horses.
