It been 3 weeks since my 7" peacock bass last ate, and it wouldn't budge for frozen nor pellet food, it only wants feeder.

What should I do???

Starve him another few weeks???

Give up???

Force feed???

:(

He sounds pretty stubborn fishes i would breack down for a week. Then start again .Let him get some nourishment .HAHAHA finally got you to say somethen:ROFL::ROFL:dood i'm just messen tryen to make it light hearted!!One more thing fishes 3 weeks is a long time without food if you think he is ready to break maybe wait ? but if he's not i personally would feed him!!

Don't give in! It took almost 2 months of starvation for my Ocell to start taking non live food and it was raised on feeder only. Does your Pbass have any other tankmates that are eating non live? If so your pbass will eventually learn to eat from others. Some learn quicker some slower. If u keep feeding feeder goldfish your Pbass will eventually get holes in their heads. My Ocell has it due to it being raised on feeders before.

keep starvn him......have u tried silversides? drop em in head first or hold it by the tail....shakn it in the water.

if the head starts shrinking in, because he's basically living off of his body fat, the skull bones will begin to show, thats when its time to get food back in him and try again in 6 months. I lost my two peruvian monos starving them 3 weeks plus.
