This isn't the oscar vid I wanted to post, it's of my little oscar, not the big one. He was biting at the glass tonight, so I thought I'd get a quick clip.

my O never did this. but i got one today that was doing it to the bucket, the tank, my hand.

then i put it in with my O and it got put in check really quick....well, all my O had to do is be 2.5" bigger and about twice its wieght:ROFL:

my three inch buttikoferi always attacks the glass when i walk into my bedroom........my convicts do it sometimes too.........

my duboisi does it ALL day long at his reflection on the back of the tank. the only time he stops is to eat. go figure.

ya you can tell when there are flies in my house LOL or near or on the tank!!! LOl

I had a GT attack the glass when anyone came around and he was only 2 inches but my Dovii attacked a little harder and killed him.

i have seen a gt do it this guy dave had one a while back in my aparetm, ents and you could lift the lid of that things tank or it would jump out to bite you!
it was all alone in a 30gal with no decor just black gravel and no backround. it was meybe 6inches but it had a big nuchal himp and was onbe of the coolest fish ive seen!
Which Cichlids have you witnessed being a glass biter? I've have had a large Jag do it, and have seen Red Devil's, Is there any other cichlids notorious for this? Anyone ever see a GT perform this act?

id be pissed too if i was sectioned off like that...lol.jk

Well, joke or not, it is true, he's been pretty angry being stuck over the last two night, who can blame him eh?! He's finally healed up from his fight with my larger oscar, but I am nervous about putting him back in with his former buddy. I'm also worried cause his tank is in the computer room, and last time I took him out of the living room tank, he soaked two walls and the ceiling...not to mention me and the floor. I'll either have to take the cpu out...or perhaps find a large table cloth to put over it. It's only about 6 feet from the tank, which is well within the splash zone! That is something I should video tape, if it wouldn't ruin my camera, is me hauling his big butt out of there.

ive heard of midas biting glass, i hope none of mine start too because the pane in my tank is acrylic, scratches would be terrible to get out
