glass co2 diffusers

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have one in my 85. they are nice. the cons are its hard to use with diy i think. i have seen a few people having problems with them. the other con is they do break up the co2 but a lot still floats to the top. i have my right under the output of my filter so it blows it around the tank.

Place the glass diffuser directly under a filter intake or the intake of a powerhead. I have mine on my canister filter intakes. Works great.

for a 5G, use a bubble ladder.

That actually can damage the impeller/shaft, it is better to place it in front of the return of pumps.

Actually, no, it won't hurt the impellers one bit. It's a really fine mist that comes out of the diffuser. I do it on my XP3 with no problems at all, been running it 2 years. Also, with it being so fine, and the filter being below the tank, it pretty much all gets disolved in the water before it even gets to the filter. Water is flowing down, CO2 tries to rise against the current and get's disolved.
