So if I interpreted what your saying right make the pump chamber to the sump larger, keep the pump intake as clear as possible and making the pvc to the pump larger for as long as possible helps improve flow? So in my case use 2 inch pvc to the pump instead of 1.5?

Awesome I think im starting to get the hang of this lol and im going to add a 20 gallon bio reactor to the sump with a trash bin, i almost have all my supplies except for wood, I went to home depot and lowes and all the plywood was warped
