Go with Pool Filter Sand from Leslie's Pools if you have one around. Hands down my favorite substrate.

i went and got some pool filter sand and i agree pharoah, it is my favorite substrate. well work slowed way down so the build has hit a snag. i will be putting my redtail in 300 gal rubbermaid container i picked up on craigslist for 75 bucks as soon as he gets a little bigger.hopefully be able to put some pics up soon
