i got one of these. Charax gibbous right?

I call mine a wanna be payara. Iv'e got mine in with 2 scomb payara and 1 Tatauaia payara and 2 hujeta's. And the little charax shoals with the payara. It pretty neat to watch him hang with the big boys.

I would love to have a big shoal of them. They are such a nasty little pred and alot easier to take care of then others. Mine will eat flakes, feeders, pellets, algae pellets, just about anything that hits the water.

For most people it is because they act just like payara (vampire tetra's) and only get to around 6" max and grow slow. And they except just about any food. So they are a pefect mini monster. They could be housed in a 20-30g tank for life.

theyre teeth are pretty big..noticable anyway lol
