If I'm correct, blue acaras are aggressive cichlids. Glass knifefish are fairly tender--a fish of that temperament could shred one to pieces, easy. I lost mine from an angelfish that went bonkers.

On the other hand, african black knifes are much tougher, and even more readily available. One would fit your stocking list much better.

I see... my acara is generally shy, she rarely leaves her cave and shares it with the plecs at times... maybe I wont go with glass knives, and ill try for an ABK instead. the ABK would be cheaper anywho, and wouldnt take up as much room.

Just thought I'd add about the Glass Knife size.
Males can get fairly large (Around 18"). I've seen them at this size as well. ;) Females will stay around 8-12", and it does take time for them to grow.
Great Knife, but I never had any luck with them, lol. Always the smallest thing that would go wrong.

It sounds like an African Knife would be a better idea. ;)

Blue Acaras are actually pretty mellow. Seems that the tank is stocked pretty good at this point. Getting a group a Glass Knives would be over kill. An African Brown Knife is a good choice at this point. They're great Knives as well.
